Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Comes Up Short

Sequoyah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lenoir City Panthers, falling 14-4. The Chiefs were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Lenoir City, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.

Coming up, Lenoir City will take on Sequatchie County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sequoyah will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' matchup: after the Panthers faces off against the Indians, they'll take on Sequoyah again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
