Poway came out on top against San Marcos on Friday thanks in part to Mya McGowan's efforts. McGowan produced her best game of the campaign: she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.
