Soccer Game Preview: Orangeburg-Wilkinson vs. North Charleston

The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins will head out on the road to take on the North Charleston Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orangeburg-Wilkinson comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson fell victim to Hanahan and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 20-0 to the Hawks.

Meanwhile, North Charleston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Oceanside Collegiate Academy, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, North Charleston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Oceanside Collegiate Academy are ranked 17th).

Orangeburg-Wilkinson's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for North Charleston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to North Charleston in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bruins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
