Preview: Dreher Blue Devils vs. Lower Richland Diamond Hornets
Dreher is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Lower Richland is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dreher Blue Devils will take on the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Dreher was handed a two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Gilbert on Tuesday. Everything went Dreher's way against Gilbert as Dreher made off with a 70-49 win. Given Dreher's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Gilbert is ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Lower Richland beat Orangeburg-Wilkinson 45-35 on Tuesday.
Dreher is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Lower Richland, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
Dreher beat Lower Richland 52-43 when the teams last played back in January. Will Dreher repeat their success, or does Lower Richland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
