Basketball Recap: Warner Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Warner Christian Academy lost against Taylor back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warner Christian Academy Eagles were dealt a 54-19 loss at the hands of the Taylor Wildcats. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for James Thomas, who went 10 for 15 en route to 21 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals for Taylor. Thomas has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times he's played. Josue Lorenzo was another key player, putting up five points along with 11 boards and four blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Warner Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Taylor, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Warner Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-68 defeat against Redeemer Christian on the 18th. As for Taylor, they will face off against Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
