Softball Recap: Redbank Valley Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Redbank Valley won the last time they faced Brookville and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 8-3. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly five runs.

Mackenzie Foringer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Alara Altobelli was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Molly Evans, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Redbank Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Brookville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Redbank Valley is taking a road trip to challenge Karns City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brookville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Branch at 4:15 p.m.
