Basketball Game Preview: Jeffersonville Red Devils vs. Eastern Eagles

The Jeffersonville Red Devils will be taking part in a tournament against the Eastern Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Jeffersonville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9 points per game this season.

Jeffersonville saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 51-44 win over Warsaw. The 51-point effort marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Michael Cooper was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Wilkerson, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Eastern duked it out withAtherton on Sunday. Eastern fell to Atherton 54-49.

Eastern has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Jeffersonville, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
