Soccer Recap: Ursuline Takes a Loss

If Ursuline was riding high fresh off their 6-1 takedown of John F. Kennedy Catholic on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fighting Irish came up short against the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Ursuline can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while Cardinal Mooney are ranked 78th).

Ursuline's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Cardinal Mooney, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Ursuline is taking a road trip to take on Hubbard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cardinal Mooney, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Andrews Osborne Academy at 1:00 p.m.
