Baseball Recap: Bennett Victorious + How To Watch

Bennett's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They skirted past the Strasburg Indians 8-7. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Trevor Evans was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Evans wasn't the only one making solid contact: Bennett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.

Bennett is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Strasburg, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9.

Coming up, Bennett will welcome Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jeff Saint have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.38 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Strasburg, they are taking a road trip to face off against Byers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
