Basketball Game Preview: Central Lee Hawks vs. West Burlington Falcons

Central Lee and West Burlington are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Central Lee Hawks face off against the West Burlington Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Burlington took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Central Lee, who comes in off a win.

Central Lee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past New London, posting a 63-23 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, West Burlington had to suffer through a 58-16 loss at the hands of Danville. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Central Lee's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points per game. As for West Burlington, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
