Basketball Recap: Seckinger Comes Up Short

Seckinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gainesville Red Elephants. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Red Elephants are ranked 16th).

Seckinger's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Gainesville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Seckinger will challenge Denmark at 6:25 p.m. on Monday. Seckinger is facing Denmark at the right time seeing as Denmark is stuck on an 18-game losing streak. Gainesville has already played their next game (against Chattahoochee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
