Baseball Recap: Ohio County Takes a Loss

Ohio County lost to McLean County back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 7-6.

Eli Hatfield made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brantley McBride, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Ohio County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for McLean County, they pushed their record up to 20-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

While Ohio County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
