Volleyball Game Preview: University Trailblazers vs. International Gryphons

The University Trailblazers will head out to face off against the International Gryphons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

University is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since May 9, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Greenwood Christian Academy. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, International came up short against Greenwood Christian Academy on Friday, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Gryphons haven't been shut out since back in March.

While International was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-23, 25-17.

International has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for University, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

University suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to International when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Trailblazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
