Volleyball Game Preview: Wesleyan Wolves vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles

Wesleyan is 0-7 against Mount Paran Christian since September of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Wesleyan sidestepped Mount Vernon for a 3-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

Emily Miller and Allie Godfrey were among the main playmakers for Wesleyan as the former had 11 digs and seven aces and the latter had 36 digs and two aces. Those 36 digs gave Godfrey a new career-high. Lily Phillips was another key player, getting 16 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mount Paran Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Walker on Tuesday. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0).

Mount Paran Christian's got stronger as the match went on, holding Walker to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 25-14.

Wesleyan's record now sits at 23-10. As for Mount Paran Christian, their record is now 33-11.
