Volleyball Game Preview: Chula Vista Spartans vs. Montgomery Aztecs

Chula Vista is 0-5 against Montgomery since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Aztecs at 5:00 p.m.

Chula Vista came up short against Mar Vista on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Montgomery entered their tilt with San Ysidro on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Aztecs have posted since September 10th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Montgomery who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 10-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-12.

Montgomery's victory bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Chula Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
