Basketball Preview: Cumberland Christian Crusaders vs. Atlantic Christian Cougars

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-23, which was the final score in Cumberland Christian's tilt against the Warrior on Friday. Cumberland Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.
Meanwhile, even though The Pilgrim Academy scored an imposing 58 points on Monday, Atlantic Christian still came out on top. Atlantic Christian snuck past the Pioneers with a 63-58 win.
Noah Stokes was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Ethan Costello, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Cumberland Christian's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.8 points per game. As for Atlantic Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
