Softball Recap: Washington County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Washington County can now relate to. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pike Liberal Arts Patriots on Monday. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-19. As for Pike Liberal Arts, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Washington County has already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against Ariton on the 5th. As for Pike Liberal Arts, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Cottonwood on the 5th.
