Football Recap: Heritage Hills Piles Up the Points Against Jasper

Heritage Hills extended their postseason success on Friday against Jasper. They claimed a resounding 38-8 win over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won ten matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

Tyce Winchell was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 67 yards and one score on only six carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September.

Winchell was just one part of a punishing run game: Heritage Hills was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 177 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.

Heritage Hills pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.8 points on average over those games. As for Jasper, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Heritage Hills will be playing at home against Martinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the Artesians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Jasper does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
