Baseball Recap: Mormon Trail Saints vs. Twin Cedars Sabers
Mormon Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Twin Cedars Sabers, falling 17-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-0 back in May.
Mormon Trail's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Twin Cedars, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mormon Trail will head out to challenge Central Decatur at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Twin Cedars, they will square off against Moulton-Udell on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.13 runs per game on average), something the Sabers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
