            The Crockett Cougars will head out on the road to  take on  the Anderson Trojans  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Crockett will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Crockett is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They were the clear victors by  a  24-1 margin over Cedar Creek on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won five games by more than 14  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.

 The team  relied heavily on  Sadie Peyton, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and four  runs. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Isabel Morales also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Anderson came up short against Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin on Tuesday and fell  10-7.
  Lauren Montalvo was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.  Amanda Read was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Crockett pushed their record up to 7-7-1 with the  win, which was their 14th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Anderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
 Everything went Crockett's way against Anderson in their previous meeting  on March 4th, as Crockett made off with  a  16-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crockett since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
