South Florence is 1-9 against Hartsville since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bruins are taking a road trip to square off against the Red Foxes at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Tuesday, South Florence made easy work of Lower Richland and carried off a 3-0 win. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Diamond Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: South Florence took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-7.

South Florence relied on the efforts of Blakley Blue, who had 12 digs and eight aces, and Baylor Gregg, who had 16 digs and four aces. Gregg has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last six times she's played. Hailey McManus was another key player, getting eight digs and one block.
They weren't the only good servers: South Florence was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Hartsville got the win against Lakewood on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hartsville was: they took every set by at least 19 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-6, 25-4.
South Florence's record is now 11-14. As for Hartsville, their record now sits at 21-9.
South Florence came up short against Hartsville in their previous meeting back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Bruins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
