Volleyball Recap: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Horizon Huskies

Mountain Pointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Horizon Huskies, falling 3-0. The Pride were not able to make up for their loss to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, Mountain Pointe saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leena Hernandez had 14 digs and three assists. Ava Rogers also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Horizon was led to victory by Tessa Caldwell and Megan Trompke. Caldwell had ten digs, while Trompke had six assists and three aces. Those six assists gave Trompke a new career-high.

Mountain Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Horizon, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.
