Volleyball Recap: Mountain Pointe Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mountain Pointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Horizon Huskies, falling 3-0. The Pride were not able to make up for their loss to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-15.

Horizon was led to victory by Tessa Caldwell and Megan Trompke. Caldwell had ten digs, while Trompke had six assists and three aces. Those three aces gave Trompke a new career-high. Sophia Gilbert also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Mountain Pointe's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Horizon, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mountain Pointe will face off against rival Campo Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Horizon is set to take on their familiar foe Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
