The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Davie takes on Southeast Guilford in the first playoff game of the year. Davie is coming into the game hot, having won eight in a row.
Davie had a great defensive game two weeks ago, holding Parkland to zero points to set up the 34 - 0 win. Senior quarterback Chris Reynolds deserves a lot of the credit as he earned two touchdowns and 122 yards rushing the ball. Reynolds has been a consistent playmaker for Davie as this was the 6th good game in a row from him. As for Southeast Guilford, it had a rough outing against Dudley two weeks ago, losing 55 - 8.
Southeast Guilford's defeat dropped it to 6-5 while Davie's win brought it to 10-1. We'll find out on Friday if Southeast Guilford can steal Davie's luck or if Davie records another victory instead.
