Volleyball Game Preview: San Leandro Pirates vs. Bishop O'Dowd Dragons

San Leandro is 0-6 against Bishop O'Dowd since June of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Pirates will be playing at home against the Dragons at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, it was close, but San Leandro sidestepped St. Joseph Notre Dame for a 3-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Pilots: they've now won four in a row.

San Leandro was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Bishop O'Dowd had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Yellowjackets.

San Leandro's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Bishop O'Dowd, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
