Basketball Recap: Kennett Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Kennett had won ten straight home games dating back to last season and Alyce Edwards did her part to make it 11 on Thursday. The Kennett Indians took down the Malden Green Wave 54-38 thanks in part to Edwards, who went 15 of 29 on her way to 39 points and five steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Kennett's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Edwards, who posted seven points and three steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Kennett is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Malden, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.

Kennett will host Dexter at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Malden, they will face off against Senath-Hornersville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
