Conner is 6-1 against Walton-Verona since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will square off against the Bearcats at 5:00 p.m.

Bronson Corpus was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kainan Held, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Walton-Verona was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Owen County only posted a batting average of .067.

Walton-Verona is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Conner, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-15.

Conner might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Walton-Verona in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
