Softball Recap: Manteno Makes It Six in a Row at Home

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Manteno ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers 11-10. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three games in a row.

Manteno's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Joliet Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 16-10.

Looking ahead, Manteno is taking a road trip to square off against Seneca at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Irish will roll in looking for their 26th straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Joliet Catholic, they will be playing at home against Providence Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
