Softball Recap: Tocoi Creek Gets the Win

Tocoi Creek won the last time they faced Ridgeview and things went their way on Tuesday too. Tocoi Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Ridgeview, sneaking past 5-4.

Skye Fourman was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Makenna Miller was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Fourman wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Tocoi Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Tocoi Creek now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Ridgeview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Tocoi Creek will challenge St. Augustine at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tocoi Creek is facing St. Augustine at the right time seeing as St. Augustine is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Ridgeview, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Ridgeview Panthers challenge Baker County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Baker County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Ridgeview's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
