Football Recap: ALA - West Foothills Comes Up Short

ALA - West Foothills played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 35-7 loss at the hands of the Paradise Honors Panthers. The Guardians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carlos Serrano threw for 60 yards on eight of 19 attempts. On the ground, Kenyon Rosenthall rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown.

Chuck Van Dyke continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Paradise Honors, rushing for 224 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Van Dyke also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Panthers are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

ALA - West Foothills' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Paradise Honors, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

ALA - West Foothills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-14 victory against Northwest Christian on the 10th. As for Paradise Honors, they have also already played their next contest, a 29-7 defeat against Peoria on the 10th.
