Basketball Recap: Daezon Devero Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Georgia Military College

Johnson County won the last time they faced Georgia Military College and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Johnson County Trojans took down the Georgia Military College Bulldogs 64-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Johnson County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daezon Devero, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Devero a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (60%). Tayshawn Norris was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Devero wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Johnson County was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Georgia Military College lost, don't look at Tommy Carty. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Thomas Adams, who had three points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.

Johnson County's record is now 8-11. As for Georgia Military College, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-21.

Johnson County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-52 loss against Hancock Central on the 13th. Georgia Military College does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
