Soccer Recap: Rio Rico Takes a Loss

Rio Rico fell victim to Mica Mountain and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 15th).

Rio Rico's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Mica Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Rio Rico didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Buena on the 13th. As for Mica Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Cienega on the 13th.
