Basketball Game Preview: Germantown Warhawks vs. Brookfield East Spartans + Official Tickets

Germantown hasn't had much luck against Brookfield East recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warhawks will head out to challenge the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Germantown knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Brookfield East likes a good challenge.

Germantown took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 90-21 win over West Allis Hale. With the Warhawks ahead 90-21 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Germantown relied on the efforts of Macey Burling, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine steals, and Avery O'Brien, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 13 points along with eight steals and seven assists. Thanks to that strong game, O'Brien now owns an excellent 45.1% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Amiah Braxton, who posted ten points and four steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Germantown was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Brookfield East waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 47-39. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly eight points.

Germantown's record is now 3-4. As for Brookfield East, their record now sits at 5-2.

Germantown couldn't quite get it done against Brookfield East when the teams last played back in February as they fell 71-63. Can the Warhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
