Woodland is 8-1 against Branchville since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Woodland will be playing in front of their home fans against Branchville at 6:00 p.m. Woodland is looking for their season's first victory.

Woodland lost 12-2 to Bluffton on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly ten runs.

Woodland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dayton Cloer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Thomas Martin also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Branchville). They put the hurt on Charleston Math & Science with a sharp 25-3 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Branchville let Chayse Lytle and Seth Shaw run wild. Lytle scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Shaw scored a run while going 3-for-5. Those three hits gave Shaw a new career-high. Henry Phalen was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Branchville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Branchville, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Woodland skirted past Branchville 9-8 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does Woodland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Branchville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
