Basketball Recap: Rifle Bears vs. Moffat County Bulldogs
Rifle fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Moffat County on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Moffat County Bulldogs by a score of 49-47. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Rifle lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Avery Ward, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Sofiya Seeman also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Rifle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-50 defeat against Steamboat Springs on the 22nd. As for Moffat County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-47 win against Coal Ridge on the 22nd.
