Softball Recap: Long Reach Takes a Loss

If Long Reach was feeling good fresh off their 19-4 takedown of Oakland Mills on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lightning fell just short of the Mt. Hebron Vikings by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lightning of the 20-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Long Reach now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mt. Hebron, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Long Reach will take on rival Wilde Lake at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mt. Hebron is set to square off against their familiar foe Marriotts Ridge at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
