Football Game Preview: Hamilton County Trojans vs. Dixie County Bears + How To Watch

Hamilton County is 0-5 against Dixie County since October of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Trojans will look to defend their home field against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. Dixie County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hamilton County, who comes in off a win.

Hamilton County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past P.K. Yonge, posting a 58-14 win. Considering the Trojans have won four matchups by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hamilton County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Matthew Berry, who rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and Haigen Johnson, who threw for 92 yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most rushing yards Berry has posted since back in October of 2024. Brandon Robinson made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Dixie County's offense. They took a blow against Blountstown on Friday, falling 74-0. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Tigers are ranked 114th).

Hamilton County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Dixie County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
