Basketball Recap: Telfair County Takes a Loss

Telfair County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 74-54 to the Wheeler County Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-37 two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wheeler County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quenshawn Glasper, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds gave Glasper a new career-high. Michael Wright Jr. was another key player, putting up 15 points and three steals.

Telfair County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Wheeler County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-7.

Telfair County has already played their next matchup (against Treutlen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wheeler County has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Wilcox County.
