Basketball Recap: Washington Academy Takes a Loss

Washington Academy lost against Old Town back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Washington Academy Raiders fell just short of the Old Town Coyotes by a score of 47-44.

Washington Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Old Town, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington Academy will host Narraguagus at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Old Town, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Caribou at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Caribou sitting on ten straight victories and Old Town on four.
