Baseball Game Preview: Camden Hills Windjammers vs. Lewiston Blue Devils

The Camden Hills Windjammers will face off against the Lewiston Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Wednesday, Camden Hills came up short against Brewer and fell 9-4. The Windjammers have struggled against the Witches recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Kai Young and Ezra Miller did some serious damage despite the final result: Young went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Miller went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That RBI marked the first that Young has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Walker Hedrich, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Lewiston suffered their biggest defeat since April 27, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 11-2 to Oxford Hills.

Jeffrey Randall was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Michael Caron was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lewiston now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Camden Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
