Baseball Recap: Etna Lions vs. Mt. Shasta Bears

Etna extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Mt. Shasta. They put the hurt on the Mt. Shasta Bears with a sharp 9-1 win. Etna is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 18 straight.

Clayton Harris was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Harris has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive pitching appearances. Harris was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Emmitt Griggs was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Noah Hubbard, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Etna's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Mt. Shasta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Etna nor Mt. Shasta have any future games scheduled.
