McComb lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Leipsic, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Panthers put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 14-3 victory on Monday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Hannah Sherick was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Dakota Shellenberger was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

McComb was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .394 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

McComb's record now sits at 7-8. As for Leipsic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Looking ahead, McComb will take on North Baltimore at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leipsic, they will face off against Columbus Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.79 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
