Recap: Duncan Wildkats vs. Valley Union Blue Devils
The Duncan Wildkats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 52-30 defeat to Valley Union might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Duncan has suffered since December 18, 2023.
Duncan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Harris, who scored 13 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Harris has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Guy Reidhead, who scored six points along with two blocks.
Duncan has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Valley Union, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.
Duncan will be playing at home against San Manuel at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Manuel is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Valley Union, they will head out on the road to take on Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
