Soccer Game Preview: Eugene vs. Owensville

The Eugene Eagles will take on the Owensville Dutchmen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Eugene is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Christian Fellowship just ended the team's nine-match winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Christian Fellowship by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Owensville fell victim to Wright City and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 4-0 to the Wildcats.

Owensville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Eugene, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-4.

Eugene came out on top in a nail-biter against Owensville when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dutchmen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
