Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bobcats vs. Kirtland Central Broncos

The Bloomfield Bobcats will challenge the Kirtland Central Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Kirtland Central will be up against a hot Bloomfield squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Bloomfield skirted past Miyamura 48-46. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly two points.

Among those leading the charge was Asaias Stover, who went 5 of 10 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Abernathy, who posted eight points along with five assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, Kirtland Central posted their closest victory since December 3, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Aztec, sneaking past 55-52.

Bloomfield pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Kirtland Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.

Bloomfield was able to grind out a solid win over Kirtland Central when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 58-46. Will Bloomfield repeat their success, or does Kirtland Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
