Basketball Game Preview: Lighthouse Christian Chargers vs. Greenwood Blue Jays

The Lighthouse Christian Chargers will take on the Greenwood Blue Jays at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Lighthouse Christian sitting on four straight victories and Greenwood on nine.

Lighthouse Christian picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 59-34 margin over McAuley Catholic. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Warriors are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lighthouse Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Judah Louderback, who went 10 of 21 on his way to 27 points and five rebounds. Louderback is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elijah Rahn, who went 8 for 14 to rack up 17 points along with six boards and five assists.

Lighthouse Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They are 4-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Meanwhile, everything went Greenwood's way against New Heights Christian Academy on Thursday as Greenwood made off with a 67-44 victory. The Blue Jays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Greenwood's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Lighthouse Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.
