Volleyball Recap: Dobson Takes a Loss

Dobson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Apollo Hawks.

Dobson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Apollo work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21, 22-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Jesus Jacinto had an outrageously good game for Apollo as he had 39 digs and four assists. Jacinto is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

Dobson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Apollo, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

When Dobson and Apollo next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Mustangs will try to stop Mountain View's five-game winning streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Apollo will face off against Millennium and their four-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
