Softball Recap: Oakland Christian Comes Up Short

Oakland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 6-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2016.

Oakland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Oakland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they have already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Whitmore Lake on the 30th.
