Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Roosevelt had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-19.

Stow-Munroe Falls' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sierra Zelenak, who had four digs and two aces. Those four digs gave Zelenak a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Stow-Munroe Falls and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Roosevelt and Stow-Munroe Falls will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rough Riders will square off against rival Revere at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Stow-Munroe Falls is set to challenge their familiar foe Twinsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
