Basketball Recap: Jenkintown Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Jenkintown won the last time they faced Plumstead Christian, and Riley Cieplinski did his part to make sure it happened again. The Jenkintown Drakes walked away with a 53-45 win over Plumstead Christian on Wednesday thanks in part to Cieplinski, who went 7 of 15 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Steuber, who posted six points and six boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Jenkintown's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-15. As for Plumstead Christian, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-12.

Jenkintown has already played their next game (against Upper Bucks Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Plumstead Christian will challenge Chester Charter Scholars Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chester Charter Scholars Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
